Blue Spirit Retreat

Blue Spirit Retreat is located in Nosara on the northwest coast of Costa Rica. The location provides an exceptional setting to all who are dedicated to spiritual transformation, personal development, and environmental sustainability. Perched on a peninsula overlooking the Pacific Ocean and a three-mile long white sand beach that is protected as a turtle refuge, Blue Spirit Retreat offers an extraordinarily beautiful and natural setting on one of Costa Rica’s finest beaches, allowing for a deeply nurturing and unforgettable experience. This 7-day yoga retreat includes morning and afternoon yoga classes with Colleen  and Rodney, and three wonderful meals per day. The cuisine at Blue Spirit Retreat focuses on organic (as available), natural vegetarian cooking made from locally grown produce, as well as fresh fish caught by fisherman from local waters.

About Costa Rica

Costa Rica has not only become known for its beauty and ecological tourism, but also as a country whose values reflect many of ideals embraced by those of us interested in world peace, environmental preservation, excellent education, and a high standard of health care. Costa Rica is unique in Central America as it has the longest uninterrupted democracy; no standing army in more than 50 years; the largest percentage of preserved rain forest per capita in the world; over 90 percent literacy rate; a high level of education and health care supported by the government; and an ongoing support for ecology and sustainability. At present, Costa Rica has initiated a commitment to become the first carbon neutral country on Earth.

Details & Arrival

Plan to arrive on Saturday March 19 - the retreat will begin with dinner and orientation that evening.  Yoga classes will be held two times per day (9 to 11:30am and 5 to 6:30pm) on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.  Wednesday will be a free day to enjoy the local sights and activities on your own.  The retreat ends on Saturday, March 26, after breakfast.  You can fly into Liberia International Airport and we can help to arrange a 2-hour shuttle transportation to the retreat center from there ($50, one way).  San Jose International Airport is also an option – you may find more non-stop and cheaper options flying into San Jose, but it is about a 5-hour drive from Blue Spirit (shuttle is available for $80 one way).
